7th-8th Grades
Quick and determined, our Falcons have sharp vision and are training for greater challenges ahead.
We will be reading through Mystery of History Volume 2 and doing realted projects in class. There will be readings to do together at home during the week.
We will use both resources to learn about the elements and principle of art as well as historical art. 26-27 School year we will spend on the early church and middle ages artwork.
First semester we will study Astronomy and second semester we will be studying Earth Science.
The student’s will be transitioning from IEW writing, which included creative and informative writing, to Lost Tools of Writing, which focuses on persuasive writing and critical thinking.
For grammar we will be using Fix It Grammar: Robin Hood. This will also enforce good handwriting skills. We will have spelling lists weekly as well.
We will be offering Spanish and Latin to all ages. You will be able to choose which one for your student.
Second Semester will focus on our drama project: Narnia.
Some math games will be played in class, but each family should be prepared to do math at home. We will also be having a math discussions each week.
